Vodacom Tanzania’s 2024 calendar has been packed with exciting events, from a Group summit dedicated to safety and well-being to a fun-filled family day at the office, an employee awards ceremony and a leadership strategy summit.

Safety first: Vodacom’s commitment to suppliers

Vodacom Tanzania was delighted to host the Group’s 2024 Safety, Health and Well-being Africa Suppliers Summit in July. The event saw participation from all Vodacom Market Suppliers across Africa, including South Africa, Lesotho, Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Safaricom Kenya, Safaricom Ethiopia and Vodafone Egypt. 

The summit highlighted Vodacom Group’s commitment to fostering a culture of safety by sharing best practices and innovative solutions with our suppliers. A notable highlight was the panel discussion on Tanzania’s Safety, Health and Well-being journey, featuring Philip Besiimire, Managing Director of Vodacom Tanzania, along with key internal stakeholders and suppliers. 

As a Group, Vodacom remains dedicated to collaborating with our partners to create a safer work environment across Africa. 

Spirit of excellence: presenting our annual awards

Vodacom Tanzania’s Yearly Town Hall events are a celebration of the hard work and dedication that drive our business success. During these events, we recognise and reward Vodacom staff who delivered exceptional results throughout the year. 

In addition to the MD’s Award, we present our top performers with awards based on our four Spirit behaviours: Earn customer loyalty; Create the future; Experiment, learn fast; and Get it done, together. 

Double the fun: family day at the office

The annual Bring Your Child to Work day allows Vodacom Tanzania employees to bring their children, aged four to 18, to the Vodacom premises. This event offers a glimpse into their parents’ work environment and responsibilities. 

It’s always a day filled with double the fun and double the smiles as we inspire the next generation and showcase the possibilities.
