From idea to impact, we create the future
With a relentless pursuit of excellence and creativity, innovators across Vodacom show every day how technology can revolutionise the way that we work, engage and build value across Africa. Let’s dive into some of the exciting innovations defining Vodacom’s future.
Spotlight on success: RPA Citizen Developers’ Connect & Create Summit
Vodacom Tanzania’s commitment to empowering citizen developers has unlocked 116 automation opportunities, and it’s totally giving simplicity.
The inaugural Connect & Create Summit was a powerhouse of collaboration, with 35 citizen developers joining forces. It was a unique event for fostering insights, sharing best practices and driving creativity – resulting in 48 automated processes developed and a robust pipeline for future growth.
“The energy, creativity and collaboration during this summit were nothing short of inspiring. Here’s to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with automation!” says Ibrahim Bonzo, Business Analyst: RPA at Vodacom Tanzania, who led the Summit.
Among several other achievements, the RPA Citizen Developer programme has driven SLA improvements (96%) and prevented 6 000 monthly calls, saving 2.5 million Tanzanian shillings.
Now that deserves a round of applause!
At the RPA Connect & Create Summit, the top contributors – Perfect Sway, Annie Mngodo and Robers Balaile – led the charge, automating up to six processes each.
The summit underscored the incredible benefits of cross-department collaboration and the transformative power of collective problem-solving, showcasing Vodacom’s dedication to building a better digital future.

Making automation work for you
The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Citizen Developer training empowers you with the skills and tools to transform your day. Its use in Vodacom South Africa’s Subscriber Collections area highlights just a few of the ways in which automation can be used to your advantage, to work for you.
Today, about 70% of administrative tasks within the area are driven by automation – handling everything from bank details and proof of payment to fraud monitoring. This transformation frees up teams to focus on what matters most: engaging customers and providing exceptional service.
Next stop: Corporate Collections, where the team will implement their new solutions for even greater impact.
