From a personalised anniversary tribute to a Forbes-listed CEO, Vodafone Egypt has had plenty to celebrate lately – and the team has been finding meaningful ways to mark each milestone.

Twenty-seven years, one message at a time

Anniversaries are easy to announce. Vodafone Egypt decided to do something more personal.

To mark 27 years in the market, the Internal Communications team launched a personalised banner initiative on the Vodafoners app. When employees logged in, they weren’t greeted with a generic message – each found a note tailored to their own journey, right down to the exact years and months they’d been part of the organisation.

The gesture reflected something Vodafone Egypt has long held to be true: the network is only as strong as the people who build it. Whether a colleague joined two decades ago or two months back, their contribution is woven into the company’s story. The initiative made that visible and personal.

As Vodafone Egypt’s School of Talent continues to grow, moments like these serve as a reminder that longevity and loyalty deserve more than a line in a company-wide announcement.

Customer care champions hit the slopes

To close out International Customer Service Week, Vodafone Egypt’s Internal Communications team hosted an exclusive outing for the competition’s top performers. It was a well-earned reward for colleagues who had gone the extra mile for customers throughout the week.

The day took the group somewhere decidedly off-script: Ski Egypt. After swapping the office for the slopes, the champions rounded off the celebration with a premium dinner at Qasr El-Kababgi. In a thoughtful touch, winners were encouraged to bring along family and friends, turning a professional accolade into a shared memory.

It was a fitting close to a week that put customer care front and centre.

Gallery of talent: recognising colleagues with disabilities

People with disabilities (PwD) are central to Vodafone Egypt’s inclusion agenda. A recent event at Nosseir Hall brought that commitment to life.

The venue was transformed into a Talent Gallery, with large-scale portraits of PwD colleagues lining the hallway in what became a hall of fame in the truest sense. Seeing their own images displayed at that scale was, for many, a public and concrete recognition of their achievements and growth within the company.

The event also featured a video showcase of PwD accomplishments, followed by personal reflections from their managers, giving the wider team a window into each colleague’s journey. The combination of visual storytelling and direct testimony made for a grounding afternoon.

The ceremony closed with Nagla Kinawi and Sherine Mohammadi presenting trophies to the PwD colleagues being honoured, as well as to the family members who have supported them along the way. Recognising parents and caregivers alongside employees makes the point plainly: inclusion is rarely a solo effort.
