Health & Safety: ISO Award

Vodafone Egypt is one of the first leading companies in Egypt, Africa and the Middle East as well as in Vodafone/Vodacom markets to be verified against the ISO 45003:2021 standard for psychological health and safety at work, based on the wellbeing programme we provide to our employees.

ISO 45003:2021 is a global standard that gives practical guidance in managing psychological health in the workplace. It provides guidance on the management of psychosocial risk, as part of an occupational health and safety management system.

Over the past years, and through various initiatives, we worked tirelessly on our wellbeing framework to connect our employees with the wellbeing purpose. This has culminated in #BetterU, which has been our wellbeing framework for two years now. Since its inception, #BetterU has been our approach to looking after our employees’ wellbeing.

We achieved 98% compliance with the ISO 45003:2021 guidelines!

2023 Innovation Healthtech Innovation of the Year Award

Vodafone Egypt was nominated for the Healthtech Innovation of the Year Award at the Africa Tech Festival Awards. The nomination is a testament to our unwavering commitment to driving healthcare digital transformation in Egypt and our vision to become the healthcare solution provider of choice, bridging the gap between health and care in Africa.

This is in line with our focus on becoming the forefront of Egypt’s healthcare digital transformation, making significant strides in two key areas:

  • The Universal Health Insurance, a national project reforming the Egyptian health insurance scheme through a complete ecosystem across six governorates and 359 facilities serving five million citizens.
  • The digitisation of the Egyptian University Hospitals, a project at the intersection between healthcare and education at 80 university hospitals across 12 universities, serving 10 million patients annually.
