From groundbreaking 5G launches to award-winning leadership development, Vodafone Egypt continues to set the standard for technological advancement, employee engagement, and community impact across the country.

Developing tomorrow’s leaders with the HR Accelerators Programme

Cairo recently hosted Vodafone Egypt’s HR Accelerators Programme, bringing together our brightest global HR talents for a leadership development experience. The programme kicked off with a cultural experience at the Pyramids of Giza, setting the stage for collaboration and cross-market connection. Reem, an AI tour guide created by the Internal Communications team, helped participants prepare for their journey.

The highlight came during the Graduation Challenge, where participants presented their strategic HR solutions directly to senior leadership. This platform highlighted their creativity and problem-solving skills while connecting them with experienced leaders, reflecting our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation.

Vodanation Summer success nurtures future talent

In recent months, Vodafone Egypt has been buzzing with initiatives to empower future talent. This year’s Vodanation Summer Internship programme, themed “Mission Possible”, welcomed over 180 interns into an ecosystem of learning and innovation. Participants engaged in activities including “Spill the Tea with Our Vodafoners”, “Things Just Got Real” workshops, and the Innovative Project Competition, where teams channelled their creativity through the themes of sustainability, people and AI.

Strategic partnerships enhanced the programme’s impact, including a six-month Cooperative Education Internship with The American University in Cairo (AUC) and a collaboration with SUTECH University that brought 10 technology interns into the fold. A collaboration with the University of Manchester and the AUC on a marketing project also took place, culminating in a judged competition.

Mo Salah powers Egypt’s 5G revolution

Vodafone Egypt’s 5G launch marked a significant strategic achievement. The highly anticipated roll-out was teased with red-illuminated cell site towers across the country, sparking nationwide curiosity. The campaign, fronted by none other than football icon Mohamed Salah, powerfully communicated Vodafone’s promise to deliver the widest 5G coverage in Egypt.

Internal celebrations complemented the public launch, featuring visuals of skyscrapers displaying “5G” – a nod to the scale and power of the new technology. Employees took part in a series of football- and speed-themed activations that brought the spirit of 5G to life across the organisation. The immersive experience transformed the workplace into a centre of celebration, reinforcing employees’ pride in being part of this historic milestone.

More than 260 participants from our extensive supplier network gathered in Cairo for the third Vodacom Group Supplier Health & Safety Forum. Employee-first initiatives bring summer happiness

As summer rolled in, the Happiness Team set the tone for a season of energy and positivity with a series of activations designed to surprise and delight employees.

The experience began with a cool gift: sunshades for employees’ cars to help them beat the rising heat. Next came a refreshing iced coffee boost, giving colleagues the energy to power through their day. Finally, the pre-summer celebrations were sweetened with prickly pears, a seasonal favourite that sparked smiles and light-hearted moments across the business.

Celebrating culture with our Spirit Day and Voda Dad campaign

Spirit Day brought Vodafone’s vibrant culture to life through activities that strengthened employee connections and engagement. The day began with a “Beyond the Desk” activity, where each employee was paired with a random buddy to encourage meaningful connections and foster stronger bonds.

Our Spirit Day coincided with Father’s Day, creating an opportunity to honour our “Voda Dads”. For our dedicated retail staff, the celebration took place on Viva Engage, where fathers shared cherished memories of their children. The Voda Dad Campaign was also launched externally, inviting fathers to write heartfelt letters to their children in which they celebrated fatherhood and the bonds of family life.
